About the Game

Humanity’s final evacuation is already underway.

You are the last archive operator connected to the Ark. In only three minutes, the uplink will be permanently disconnected. Before that happens, you must decide which pieces of humanity’s history deserve to survive.

Every dataset contains something important: scientific knowledge, natural records, cultural works, personal memories, historical lessons, and the foundations needed to rebuild civilization.

But the uplink cannot carry everything at once.

Large datasets take time to transmit. Folders containing thousands of small files may be even slower. You can create smaller archive packages, manage the transfer queue, preserve partial progress, or permanently purge datasets that you decide should not be included in the final manifest.

What reaches the Ark will shape the world that comes after.

There may be an optimal route—but every choice still leaves a legacy.

How to Play

You have 180 seconds before the final disconnect.

  • Select a dataset to inspect its contents, size, file count, and transfer estimate.
  • Right-click a dataset to open its available actions.
  • Send datasets directly through the uplink.
  • Create compressed archives to reduce their transfer size.
  • Reorder or remove items from the transfer queue.
  • Cancel an active transfer while preserving eligible partial progress.
  • Use Secure Purge to permanently exclude a dataset from the Ark Manifest.
  • Resolve every dataset, then finalize the manifest before time runs out.

Only one dataset can be transmitted at a time, but one archive can be prepared simultaneously.

Controls

Left Mouse Button — Select datasets and interact with the interface
Right Mouse Button — Open the dataset action menu
Mouse Wheel — Scroll through available datasets

A Game About What We Choose to Preserve

Final Transfer is not only about moving files quickly.

It is about deciding what humanity believes is worth carrying forward.

Will the survivors inherit knowledge without culture?
Memories without lessons?
A functioning society without nature?
Or will nothing remain except a blank beginning?

Your final manifest becomes their future.

Game Jam

Final Transfer was created as a solo project for GMTK Game Jam 2026.

Theme: COUNT DOWN

The theme is represented through the final 180-second uplink window, during which every action consumes part of the limited time remaining.

WIP Notice: Final Transfer is currently in development. The core game is playable, but some visuals, audio, balancing, UI elements, and ending presentations are still being improved. Minor bugs may occur.
